Bike Week (May 29 – June 2, 2017)

Thanks to all the families and students who road their bikes to JQ during this year’s Bike Week.

• We hope you continue to ride/walk/scooter as much as you can (rather than drive).
• A big Thanks to Maureen for leading the K-2 Bike Rodeo on a rainy Tuesday with lots of parental assistance, notably Willa of WoWride Cycling Club (Grade 4 parent).
• And thanks to all of our sponsors (and Julia for soliciting donors) – the kids love the Arrival Raffle.

A free and fun week-long celebration of biking to school. Bike to School Week coincides with Metro Vancouver  Spring Bike to Work Week, 

Where: To / From school every day…. or as often as you can

Who:  All students

Why:

• to encourage fitness
• to respect those who use other forms of transportation than car
• to increase the value of cycling

 Activities:

• Everyday before school – Arrival snacks and prizes PRIZES (Raffled at 8:50)
• Kindergarten, Grade 1 & 2 – Bike Rodeo – Tuesday May 30, 2017
• More Bikes Repair Tent – Tuesday May 30th, 8:15 am – Setting up to help with basic repairs
